Picture This: CW Fires Up ‘90210’ Hype

July 31, 2008 4:13 PM

The CW marketing folks are doing a dance of the seven veils seemingly intended to drive hormone-addled teens (or grizzled trade reporters?) to distraction in anticipation of "90210."

MAKING WAVES Ethan (Dustin Milligan) contemplates life after a little night surfing.

With just a month to go before the show's debut, the network still hasn't made a screener of the show's pilot available for review. But the network is finally giving viewers a visual sneak peek of the first episode, releasing pictures from the set.

(More episodic photos after the jump.)

From the looks of the early images, there's a definite "OC" feel to the pilot, with several beach shots. Dustin Milligan, who plays star athlete Ethan, seems quite the ladies' man, sharing an intimate moment with AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi) and getting up close with Shenae Grimes (Annie).

HARMLESS PDA Ethan (Milligan) and Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) share a smooch in a crowded hall.

A new interest Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Ethan (Milligan) share a beach encounter.

Ms. McCord's Naomi, meanwhile, seems like she'd be at home with the text message-crazy denizens of "Gossip Girl."

GOSSIP TEXT Naomi (McCord) receives a serious text message.

More shots:

THEY'RE HERE! Celia (Lori Loughlin) and Harry (Rob Estes) are definitely not in Kansas anymore.

WELCOME HOME Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Annie (Grimes) feast their eyes on the zip.

SPRING IN HER STEP Tabitha (Jessica Walter) enjoys her afternoon drink.

BROMANCE? Navid (Michael Steger) and Dixon (Wilds) become quick friends.

BROODING MUCH Ryan (Ryan Eggold) starts anew in “90210."

The new "90210" premieres with a two-hour episode on Sept. 2.
