‘Supernatural’ Does the Monster Mash

“Supernatural” is going retro.

Creator Eric Kripke was recently picked by TVWeek for its Masters of Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror list for putting his stamp on the horror genre with “Supernatural.” In its upcoming fifth episode, The CW series will tip its hat to the horror classics.
The episode, titled “Monster Movie,” will feature a trio of classic horror monsters—Dracula, a werewolf and a mummy—and, fittingly, will air entirely in black-and-white.
Check out some rather atmospheric, flattering photos—not that the Winchester brothers need any help in the looks department—from the episode behind the cut.

Are those lederhosen?! Oh, I should probably mention that Dean and Sam are investigating several murders at Oktoberfest.

This will be one heck of an episode! It is always awesome to get an episode where the aspect of the filming is different (Ghostfacers in season 3 is an awesome example). And I think, after the first three episodes of what is already known to the fandom world of Supernatural as the best season, that we do deserve a nice brotherly hunting episode.

This episode looks awesome! Supernatural is always stretching the boundaries and trying new things. It truly is the most innovative and entertaining show on TV. Not to mention the great writers and directors, and the acting of Jensen and Jared cannot be topped. Kripke does it again! B.J.

Not that I EVER need an excuse to watch Supernatural since it is my all-time favorite show, but seeing Dean in lederhosen is a pretty good one!
