‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Finale Tops Night

August 16, 2007 10:53 AM

Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” led the night with part one of its two-part season finale.
The two-hour event (apparently a full four hours are required to wrap up this summertime dancing reality series), earned a 3.2 rating among adults 18 to 49.

In second place, NBC offered “Most Outrageous Moments” (1.9) and “Last Comic Standing” (2.5), both down a tick from last week.

CBS was third, with “Power of 10” slipping slightly from its time-period premiere last week (1.9), followed by repeats.

ABC landed in fourth, with repeats and the premiere of “NASCAR in Primetime” (1.2).

The CW was fifth with repeats.

KAREN ROBINSON:

I just want to say that sabra is a real good dancer. But danny is my favorite. Not only is he a wonderful dancer He is so hot.I want him to win.But if he doesn't I hope it's sabra.

Kappapne:

I feel that tonight is between Sabria and Danny. They both desire to be the winner.

SHELLY SHEL:

I THINK SABRE IS THE BEST DANCER, AND TONIGHT I BELIEVE THAT SHE IS GONNA WIN. WHEN SHE DANCE YOU CAN FEEL THE MUSIC, IT'S LIKE THE WORDS ARE COMING OUT OF HER. THAT'S WHAT MAKES A GREAT DANCER!!!!!!

cassluvsu:

omg i love all of them!! i'll really be happy if any of them to win, but i think right now i'm rooting for sabra and lacey- but i dunno they're all AWESOME! GO SYTYCD!!!

Who won? I live in the arm pit of america and we are having a storm so I didn't see the last two minute. I live in Dallas, Tx.

brenda dungan:

This year the best and the finale was superb. Love seeing the favorite dances of the season. I look forward to next season. Keep up the wonderful entertainment. I just love the love.
Can't say enough good about it. The choreography was wonderful this year. Out did yourselves.
Thanks for a great season.

Helen F:

I Have fallen in love with this show. I work for Ticketmaster and had the good fortune to put together the tickets for Kameron's dance studio to come and see him on tour. It was fun to talk about this group of kids. I wont be able to see them when they come to Huntington WV. It will sell out so fast..but it has been a pleasure. One of the things I would like to see is some more choreographing of dance styles like Fred Astaire & Ginger Rodgers as well as Dick VanDyke and Julie Andrews ..some of VanDyke spoof dancing never grows old. Neither does the ballroom dancing or dances from the King and I with Yul Brynner.
Way to go kids. As for Niles and Cat..I wish they would actually have danced.

i think lauren shouldn't have been kicked off. but i'm glad sabra was the one who got it instead of lauren.

Peggy:

I'd like to say that I think the public got it right by choosing Sabra. She has been the most consistent dancer, a true mark of a pro. Danny is graceful and technically very sound, but he had struggles with letting out his own personality. Neil may have emphasized gymnastic tricks too much and had some struggles at the beginning with some stiffness. Lacey had a lot of personality and chutzpah, but not the type of training the others had. Dancers that want to work in this country must be able to do what Sabra does: Deliver....and deliver the personality , the technique, the versatility...no matter what the day, no matter what the mood...no matter what the pressure.
She deserved to win!

Ray:

Peggy you are an idiot to think that Danny had no personality. He was the consumate professional on and off the stage, and proved that he was the better dancer, technically or otherwise. Yes, Sabra is an increble dancer and was deserving of being a runner up, but she said before they announced the winner that Danny is an amazing dancer and was honored to have been on the same stage with him. The top six will have amazing careers, but only one was above and beyond the rest, DANNY!

Doris:

I LOVE "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE"!!!!!..I LOVE DANCING, so anything that has to do w/dancing I love it...lol!! I started watching it since d 2nd season, n I loved it since then (2 bad I missed d 1st season). Well n-e-ways..I knew that SABRA was gonna win (I knew it all along), she's just such an amazing dancer!!! I mean she had only been dancing professionally for 4 yrs, and look how great she is, imagine her when she has more experience, she going to be even better.Yes Danny is a good dancer but there was something in his personality that didn't make him as good a SABRA. Thanks to SABRA I have decided not to give up on my dream to become a professional dancer. She was always at d top n never gave up, but she always kept her carismatic personality!!...I'm pretty sure SABRA is gonna have an amazing career, as well as d other contestants!!

Queen:

I am happy for Sabra; I would be happy for Danny too because they were my 2 favorite. I couldn't choose between them.

By the way, I thought there was a love connection, or some chemistry between the pair. I think they would make a great couple.

Chris:

The only connection between Sabra and Danny is that he wants to borrow her shoes. Please honey, that boy is gay gay gay!
