ABC Shuffles Fall Lineup
October 24, 2007 12:28 PM
ABC is shuffling its fall schedule, scheduling midseason replacement "October Road."
"Road" will premiere Thursday, Nov. 22, at 10 p.m. in a one-time replacement for "Big Shots" after "Grey's Anatomy." After that date, "October" will run in its regular time period, Mondays at 10 p.m., filling a spot vacated by "The Bachelor."
Also, after the "Dancing With the Stars" finale on Monday, Nov. 26, sitcom "Notes From the Underbelly" will be paired with "Samantha Who"—which just received an order for six additional scripts.
Starting Friday, Nov. 2, "Men in Trees" and "20/20" will swap time periods, with "Trees" moving to 8 p.m. and "20/20" at 10 p.m.

That's unfortunate because I was really liking Big Shots. I think ABC pulled the plug much to fast on this one. The stars and the supporting cast are excellent.

Pay attention! IT said For One Night Only. BIG SHOTS has not been cancelled. Yet. It bores me.

Read the article again...slowly.
What part of one time only replacement don't you understand?
Big Shots will be back in that slot the following week.
We're just using this premium slot to introduce October Road and direct viewers to the Monday night slot where it will replace the Bachelor, which will have had its full run.

Something tells me that last comment was not from the real Robert Iger...

Calm down Robert....you doth protest too much.
Aren't you the idiot who didn't give
Knights of Prosperity a chance either.

You're incorrect. That was the real Bob Iger. His use of 'slot' is a dead give away. Growing up as a boy in Kansas, Bob and I attended the same grammar school and I distinctively recall our Feb 2, 1954 grammar class with Mrs. Higgins in which we debated appropriate synonyms for "time periods".
Hey Bob, give me a call sometime to catch up.

I look forward to "Notes from the Underbelly" returning. I thought it was cancelled.
