CBS Picks Up 'Big Bang' and 'The Unit'

CBS has ordered full-season pickups for freshman comedy “The Big Bang Theory” and returning drama “The Unit,” the network confirmed.
Since its debut, "Big Bang" has maintained and built slightly on its "How I Met Your Mother" lead-in to become a solidly performing member of the CBS Monday comedy block. The most recent episode garnered a 3.1 rating, placing second in the half hour behind ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." Its pickup makes "Big Bang" the first comedy of the fall season to receive a full order.
"The Unit" only received a partial season order earlier this year. On Tuesday the show bounced 17 percent to a 3.5 rating—its best since February.

I am so glad The Big Bang Theory is going to be here for the full season. Best new sitcom in years. I love this show.

I've been watching and I think the show has potential - happy to see "Big Bang" got picked up. As for "The Unit" - I could care less.

I am glad to see that both "Big Bang" and "The Unit" have been picked up. My husband and I watch them both. Acutally on Mondays and Tuesdays our tv stays on CBS all night with all the shows. On Monday "How I met your Mother", "Big Bang", and "2 and 1/2 Men" and on Tuesday "NCIS" and "The Unit" Keep up the GREAT work.

WHY, OH WHY did they replace the theme marching cadence with that sappy song? Are they going to have some re-runs so I can hear the original theme song again? Otherwise, "The Unit" continues to be such a great show.

OMG! Im soooo happy The Big Bang Theory got picked up for another season. This is the best and funniest show and I love it! Its one of the few shows now a days that are actually funny. It has made monday nights the best night of the week!
I cant wait for the new season to start!

THE UNIT IS THE BEST SHOW GOING ON REGULAR TV I WATCH IT EVERYEAR THEN I BUY IT I HOPE I CAN LAST AT LEAST 8 SEASONS .THE UNIT BOSS NEEDS TO BE COURT MAR. FOR HAVING WILLIAMS KILLED WHERE HE COULD NOT TELL ON HIM KILL HIM OR IS WILLIAMS REALLY DEAD AND HIS HE UNDER COVER TRYING TO SIT THE COL. UP FOR HAVING PEOPLE SHOT THAT HE USES THERE WIFES WHY THEY ARE GONE OVER SEAS

My husband & I had no idea The Unit had been picked up for a 4th Season. I was one of the pettioners when it was going to be cancelled.I'll now have to get the season from Netflix or wait for reruns since we missed 2 mos. worth! Also I can't get my stupid CBS.com login to work. They've got me down as another username. Would have been nice if they had advertised the new season better.
