MSNBC’s Olbermann Pens Book
December 21, 2006 5:59 PM
If you’re still holiday shopping, here’s the perfect gift for any of your liberal pals: “The Worst Person in the World and 202 Strong Contenders,” by MSNBC's “Countdown” anchor Keith Olbermann. As fans will know, one of the features on his popular program is his daily award for “The Worst Person in the World.”
Not surpringly, Fox News Channel anchor Bill O’Reilly is prominently featured; I’m not going to give much more away and spoil your fun. But I will say that one of our readers who regulary responds to my blog will find this book under his or her Christmas tree. Can you guess who you are? Don’t worry John, it’s not you!
Happy holidays as the year winds down and as we burrow down and celebrate today’s winter solstice. Cheers.

To the the Lovely and Gracious Marianne:
Whew, thank God...I was worried there for a quick second. Now maybe the nightmares will end.
Here's wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Buh Bye. John

Hi John,
Not to worry, although I was thinking of it. But you're not out of the woods, I am very fond of giving April Fool's Day gifts to folks who like a good joke. Meanwhile, a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
Marianne
P.S. Got any blog ideas? Things are slowing down or my brain is...

While somewhat lighter in tone that total global annihilation I was thinking more along the lines of comparing what the bed-wetting liberal establishment thinks of "24" and Jack Bauer.
Methinks he could defeat Iran all by his lonesome if he were given the green light. Tell me Marianne, what does the cocktail party society mavens think of Jackie and Chloe?
There was a blog entry on SyFy Portal is which a writer opines that it was 9/11 that killed the Star Trek franchise. It's was his opinion that 9/11 destroyed the boundless optimism for the future that Roddenberry had and brought grim reality into our lives. What do you think. Does the hoi-polloi in New York watch Star Trek, Battlestar Gallactica, or any other SciFi show or just us rubes in fly-over country??
As always, thanks for the opportunity to write to you.
John

Dave,
You're depressing me all right. I'll let you write the blog.

Hi John,
Well "24" is the favorite show of this liberal who stopped wetting her bed, having been potty trained at an early age. And I'm no longer a New Yorker, instead living on a spit of sand called Cape Cod, a haven for ultra liberals. As always, thanks for writing, good to hear from the other side.
Happy New Year,
Marianne
