History 9/11 Special Tops Cable Ratings

Viewers opted to reflect on Sept. 11, 2001, as History “Time Machine” documentary special on 9/11 topped ratings in cable yesterday.
Pulling in a 2.0 rating/6 share in the 18- to 49-year-old demographic “Machine” ranking number one on cable in the demo, according to Nielsen Media Research. It also earned No. 1 in total viewers with 5.2 million.
On USA, “Burn Notice” took the No. 2 spot for the night, returning after nearly a month off to solid numbers (1.7/5). Compared to its last showing on Aug. 22, “Notice” increased its rating 31%. The episode ranked as the series’ second-highest installment ever.
