‘SmackDown!’ Pumps Up MyNet Audience

October 6, 2008 3:51 PM

The premiere of “Friday Night Smackdown!” slammed some big numbers for MyNetworkTV, giving the network its largest audience ever.

Drawing 3.2 million total viewers, “Smackdown” also took in a 1.2 rating in the males 18- to 34-year-old demographic, which is another MyNet record.

Year-to-year on MyNet, “Smackdown” brought in a 233% increase in adults 18-49 with a 1.0 rating.

“Smackdown” lost a little steam versus last week’s final episode on The CW, slipping 42% in males 18-34 and 27% in total viewers.

Even airing on My Net it beat its replacements on The CW both on FRI and on SUN. To think CW gave up one of their top 3 shows that always did well on FRI a night that is tuff to begin with
