Several series on Tuesday held their ground in the ratings from last week’s premieres, with Fox’s “House” and The CW’s “90210” even enjoying a slightly increase in their numbers.
“House” drew a 5.2 rating/15 share in the 18- to 49-year-old demographic, according to preliminary Nielsen Media Research data. The medical drama bumped up 2% from last week. “Fringe” (4.3/11) also moved the needle two-tenths of a percentage point up from last Tuesday.
Fox finished first with a 4.5/12.
CBS held essentially steady with “NCIS” (3.5/10), “The Mentalist” (3.5/9) and “Without a Trace” (2.8/8) tying NBC with a 3.2/9.
NBC also stayed close to flat with “The Biggest Loser” (2.9/8) and “Law & Order: SVU” (3.7/10).
ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” results show (3.6/9) decreased 23% from last week’s performance show, but tied Wednesday’s special results show. “Opportunity Knocks” matched its previous (and uninspiring) premiere last week with a 1.8/5. ABC placed fourth with a 2.4/6.
The CW’s “90210” grew one-tenth of a ratings point from last week to a 1.6/5, while “Privileged” stayed flat with a 0.9/2.
In the network’s key demographic, “90210” increased 11% in women 18 to 34 with a 3.1/9.
