Will Prom Queen Drive 'Em to Hairspray?

Michael Eisner’s “Prom Queen” officially ended its two-month online run with 15 million views. Those are darn impressive numbers for an online series.

Here’s what I am wondering. Each of the 80 episodes ended with a short ad for the movie “Hairspray,” promoting its July 20 release date. What would really make me jump up and down and sing from the rafters about the effectiveness of online video ads will be if this film gets a nice bump on its opening weekend from “Prom Queen” fans.

Someone should conduct exit polls at the movie theaters that weekend.
