NBC Direct Launch Coming Alley Insider

NBC Direct plans to formally launch its free video download service in the next two months, Silicon Alley Insider reports, citing an unnamed source. The ad-supported service has received largely negative reviews in its beta stage, the Web site says. NBC Digital's George Kliavkoff refused to reveal a target date last month, the Web site notes.
