Comcast Raises Prices Despite Higher Profits Wired

Despite showing an 8% increase in its net income last quarter over a year earlier, cable company Comcast is hiking cable television prices, Wired reports. The company cites increasing costs in gas, health insurance, technology and service improvements as the prime motive behind the rate increases. Wired calls the move “particularly risky” at a time when consumers are “price sensitive.”
