Though he wasn’t an actual hologram, musician Will.I.Am talked to Entertainment Weekly about the experience of having his image beamed from Barack Obama’s victory celebration in Chicago to CNN’s studios in New York on Election Night. “Right after I walked through security, they asked if I would mind doing a hologram interview. I love CNN, so I went and did it. When I saw myself as the hologram talking to Anderson Cooper, it was crazy!” he tells EW. About his breakdancing at the end of the interview, Will.I.Am responded, “That was the child in me. I was, like, ‘I know this is historic and what not, but I have to do the wave.’”
