Nov 5, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Craig Dubow, chairman, president and CEO of newspaper and television station owner Gannett, is taking a $200,000 salary cut, Editor & Publisher says. Dubow said he wanted to share in the sacrifices being made by other employees at the company. “I have great empathy for those employees and their families who have lost their jobs. I also recognize that our employees are working harder and harder to produce results in a challenging business environment,” he said in a company memo. Dubow will earn 17% less than his $1.2 million base salary. (With stock awards, his total compensation is about 7.5 million.)
