MySpace hopes a new technology that scans for copyrighted material among the clips on its site will enable it to sell advertising against professional content, the Wall Street Journal says. News Corp.’s MySpace is working with Viacom’s MTV Networks on the system. MTV sees it as a way to make money when consumers post videos produced by MTV, Mika Salmi of MTV Networks tells the paper.
