Barack Obama’s historic win on Election Day has prompted many a collector scrambling for keepsakes of the election. CNN is reaping the benefits of this mad rush for collectibles with sales of a T-shirt emblazoned with the news network’s headline of Obama’s victory, Adweek reports. In just 24 hours after CNN.com published the story calling the election for Obama, the site sold nearly 5,000 T-shirts reading “Obama Inspires Historic Victory.” Since April the site has allowed visitors to buy shirts bearing its headlines.
