The Federal Communications Commission under Barack Obama as president is expected to be more influential than ever, according to high-tech leaders and analysts, the Washington Post reports. Promises made by the president-elect of an “open Internet” could change the telecommunications industry as we know it today. “There is going to be a sea-change,” says Martha Corbett, a partner at technology public relations firm Qorvis. “Technology has been primarily ignored by the Bush administration, but Obama from the beginning made it a central part of his push for change.”
