The Weather Channel has already cut about 60-80 jobs as the channel continues its transition to new owner NBC Universal, the Hollywood Reporter says. Although the current economic crisis has been leading to layoffs throughout the industry, NBC Universal “expected that there would be cost synergies as part of a company reorganization,” the Reporter says.
