In a series of television interviews, President Obama said he "screwed up" by appointing people to cabinet posts who hadn’t paid their taxes and has lost ground in fixing the economy as a result, the Los Angeles Times says. The interviews were aimed at seizing control over the debate on the economic stimulus plan, the paper says.
