Broadcasters and government agencies are working on an early test for the June 12 digital TV transition switch, with May 21 being eyed for the trial run, the Washington Post reports. That would allow consumers to tell if they're ready for the June deadline when analog transmissions will end, the newspaper says. With the test, broadcasters would switch to digital transmission for a few minutes, the publication adds.

"...switch to digital"? Gee, we did that nine years ago. Maybe the Post means "...turn off analog."
