PTC Finds Hundreds of Violent Acts Against Women in Just 2 Months on Big Broadcast Nets AP

On Wednesday, the Parents Television Council released a report that found that more than 400 violent acts against women were depicted in primetime TV on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in just two months, February and May, according to the Associated Press.

By comparison, during those same months in 2004, they found less than 200 violent acts against females. Overall, the report found 3,900 acts of violence in general, not just against women, in February and May.

So violence against a majority group is about 10% of the violence on the air? Why is that news? Why give the PTC the attention? Their "research" isn't even remotely credible academic analysis. The title of the report should have been "Procedural Crime Shows Very Popular"

Might it occur to you guys to mention that the PTC is an agenda-driven advocacy group? This is as newsworthy a story as "Starbucks Study Finds Coffee Still Popular."
