NBC a Winner With 'Biggest Loser' Finale The Wrap
The finale of NBC's reality series "The Biggest Loser" was a ratings smash for the network, even lifting Jay Leno in its wake, according to The Wrap.
The two-hour finale averaged a 5.1 in the 18-49 demographic, ahead of the competition.
At 10 p.m., "The Jay Leno Show" averaged a 2.9 against reruns on ABC and CBS.
ABC's holiday cartoons in the 8 o'clock hour performed well, too. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and Disney's "Prep & Landing" netted a 3.7 and 4.1, respectively. Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" managed a 2.4 in that hour.
In the 9 o'clock hour, the dance show held at 2.4, while new sitcom fodder on ABC -- "Scrubs" and "Better Off Ted" -- failed to catch fire, scoring a 2.3 and 1.9, respectively.
