Is ‘Ellen’ Benefiting from ‘Idol’? B&C

Most of the major syndicated programs did well ratings-wise in the week ended Feb. 14 but one did exceptionally well, and that was “Ellen DeGeneres,” reports B&C.

Perhaps not coincidentally, that was the host’s first week as an “American Idol” judge.

The show hit a new series-high for the week, gaining 12 percent in the ratings week-to-week. The show was also up 26 percent from a year ago.
