Why this Week's Ratings for 'Grey's Anatomy' Were the Lowest Ever For the Medical Series TVBythenumbers.com

NBC's coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics continue to dominate the Nielsen ratings on Thursday, besting an all-new night of ABC dramas, according to TVbytheNumbers.com.

At 8 p.m., the Olympics netted a 6.2 in the 18-49 demographic, outdistancing CBS's "Survivor" with a 3.9, and ABC's sinking-fast rookie legal drama, "The Deep End" with a 1.1.

And thanks to the Olympics, ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," even though it managed to climb to a 3.7 at 9 p.m., that rating was a series low. The Olympics remained on top with a 8.3 in the 18-49 demo. Fox's "Past Life" eeked out a 1.1.

At ten o'clock, the NBC coverage of the games had a 6.8 in the 18-49 demo, well ahead of a new "Private Practice" on ABC, which collected a 2.8.
