Oprah Winfrey is contractually prohibited from appearing on a talk show on her network OWN until her syndicated show ends its run in September 2011, but her new network has found a sneaky way to get her on the air anyway, The New York Times reports.

Beginning in January 2011, OWN, which is a joint effort with Discovery Communications, will begin airing a show that chronicles the last days of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

“Behind the Scenes: Oprah’s 25th Season” will air weekly on OWN until her talk show goes off the air.

According to The Times, OWN is also expected to announce today four other unscripted series for the network, including “Kid-napped,” which features children who rescue their workaholic parents; “Miracle Detectives,” a show about spirituality; “Sentenced,” about a women’s prison; and “Search,” about a woman who tracks down lost family members.
