The Peeping Tom Who Spied On and Taped ESPN's Erin Andrews Had Other TV Women in His Sights Smoking Gun

He didn’t go so far as to tape them, but Michael Barrett, the Illinois man who taped secret videos of ESPN’s Erin Andrews, ran background checks on other female sports reporters and television personalities, according to a federal sentencing memorandum that The Smoking Gun has posted.

The women aren’t named in the document. The court filing also says that Andrews is seeking about $335,000 in restitution from Barrett, a request that the prosecutors are supporting given the emotional distress he caused her. Prosecutors are arguing for Barrett to get 27 months in prison when he is sentenced March 8.
