Beau Bridges Lands 'Rockford' Role THR

Actor Beau Bridges has been tapped to co-star with Dermot Mulroney in the pilot for NBC's reboot of "The Rockford Files," the Hollywood Reporter says. 

Bridges is set to play Jim Rockford's dad, Rocky, a role originally played by Noah Beery Jr. in the James Garner incarnation.

Rocky is described as Rockford's closest friend and a sounding board. Bridges is a three-time Emmy winner, and the older brother of Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges.
