One of the most important crafts in TV that doesn't get enough attention is casting. And if ever there was an actor seemingly born to appear on a certain TV series, it's Michael Madsen and "24."

Madsen, a favorite of director Quentin Terantino, will be playing opposite Kiefer Sutherland in Fox's "24," reports TV Guide.

Madsen has been cast as Jim Ricker, a former military man who has a history with Jack Bauer. Madsen is expected to appear in the final hours of this season's shows.
