'Gilligan's Island' Charting a Course for the Big Screen; Guess Who the Creator Wants for Gilligan MSNBC.com

Atlas Entertainment announced today that there will be a big-screen adaptation of the popular 1960's sitcom "Gilligan's Island," reports msnbc.com.

The original creator, Sherwood Schwartz, has given his blessing to the Charles Roven and Richard Suckle production.

Brad Copeland is working on a screenplay.

Roven said production could be started early next year, but only after the perfect cast has been chosen.

Recently, Schwartz speculated that Michael Cera would be the right actor to play Gilligan.
