Bah, Humbug: Gosselin Kids Duped, Confused by Fake Christmas Show Taping

Apr 15, 2010  •  Post A Comment

In a hearing about whether Jon and Kate Gosselin violated child labor laws during taping of their "Jon & Kate Plus 8," on TLC, a family member testified that the show filmed a fake Christmas episode but led the eight children to believe it was really Christmas morning, the New York Post reports. "

The stunt was done "[S]o that the camera crew could get the genuine reaction of the children," Kate Gosselin’s brother Kevin Kreider told a hearing panel. "It wasn’t until after, later that they were told it was not Christmas morning …. Can you imagine how confused eight little kids were that morning?" he said.

Krieder also talked about his unease over lack of adult supervision and possible psychological damage to children on television shows, the Post says.

The hearing revolved around child-labor laws in Pennsylvania. According to People, the charges have been dropped.

However, People wrote that "the producers must obtain child-permits if they wish to film the Gosselin children in the future. They must also allocate a portion of the proceeds into a trust fund for kids, the Associated Press reported."

  1. try it best.

  2. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  3. I love the writing relevancy of your site and it does a attractive decent work of presenting the info.

  4. There is evidently a bunch to know about this. I believe you made some nice points in features also.
