Danielle Staub, one of the co-stars of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," has been asked not to return for the third season of the Bravo show, reports Life & Style magazine. The news came as a shock to Staub, the story says. She gained notoriety for a sex tape scandal, allegations of prostitution and her cat-fights on screen, the article notes.

Staub is also trying to sell a spin-off reality show about her life. A Bravo representative declined to comment, while Staub’s booking agent had no comment on the report.

In response to the report, Staub said in a statement that she’s "not even thinking about season 3 right now as I am considering many incredible options that have been presented to me," reports US Magazine. ""Don’t worry, next year, I’ll still be the one you either love to hate or hate to love," Staub said in the statement.

Separately, within days of filing for bankruptcy, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" co-star Teresa Giudice and her husband went on a $60,000 buying spree, which was potentially an ill-judged move given the couple is trying to convince a bankruptcy judge to halt an auction of their mansion, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

The couple spent $8,800 on curtains and almost $45,000 on furnishings such as mirrors, tables and chairs, the story says. The spree even seemed to give pause to the couple’s attorney, James Kridel, who said in court that the spending presented "a dilemma" and that the judge might interpret it as "conspicuous consumption," the article adds.

The judge didn’t grant the couple’s request to halt the auction of their Towaco, New Jersey home, but did delay it until Oct. 3. After the hearing, Teresa declined to comment on the spending, while her husband, Joe, snapped, "None of your business! Back off before I get pissed!", the story says.
