Fran Drescher Project Gets OK To Go To Pilot

Two comedy pilots, one from Fran Drescher have received the greenlight, reports Deadline.com’s Nellie Andreeva.

The pilots are for TV Land.

The Drescher project is called "Happily Divorced," is written and executive produced by Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson.

"Happily Divorced" could star Drescher, who based the project on her own life and focuses on a woman who reenters the dating world after finding out that her husband is gay, the article says.

TV Land shows reruns of Dresher and Jacobson’s old sitcom "The Nanny."

The second comedy pilot TV Land gave a greenlight to is is called "Rip City," which is written and executive produced by "Lizzy McGuire" creator Terri Minsky, the story notes.

"Rip City" takes place at Rip City Cola, a beverage maker and distributor, where a young, Ivy League-educated woman becomes the boss, the story notes.

 The two shows are joining the network’s recently ordered comedy pilot "Ex Men."
