ABC finished the night as No. 1 in viewers 18-49 with a 3.1 average rating, ahead of NBC (2.2 rating), Fox (2.1) and CBS (1.9). In total viewers, CBS, despite airing all repeats, squeaked out a win for the night with 9.1 million to 8.8 million for ABC.
At 8 p.m. Fox’s "Bones" had a 2.35 average rating in the 18-49 demographic, the same as ABC’s rebroadcast of the holiday classic "Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town." At 10 p.m. ABC’s "Private Practice" had a 2.9 average in the 18-49 demo for the hour, easily besting NBC’s "The Apprentice," which averaged a 1.4 in the same demo for the hour.
