CBS Wins Bidding War for Sitcom From 'Sex & the City' Creator Deadline.com

Michael Patrick King, the creator of HBO's "Sex & the City," has developed a new sitcom with comic Whitney Cummings called "Two Broke Girls,” which has been snatched up by CBS, reports Deadline.com.

The story reports fevered bidding for this property, which Cummings and King wrote on spec. CBS has reportedly committed to producing the pilot for the multi-camera show.

The New York City-based comedy tells the story of two poor girls in their early 20s trying to make it in the Big Apple.
