Cherished, Emmy-Winning Casting Director Dies Suddenly, Just a Week After Being Diagnosed with Cancer Deadline.com

One of TV's cherished casting directors has passed away, just a week after being diagnosed with cancer, reports Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com.

"Emmy-winning casting director Peggy Kennedy died today at Cedars-Sinai" hospital in Los Angeles, the article says.

According to the story, Kennedy and Debi Manwiller won an Emmy in 2004 for their work on "24." That long-running show was particularly praised by many--including TVWeek--for its casting.

Kennedy also worked on "Reservoir Dogs,"  "L.A. Law,"  "Chicago Hope," "Level 9,"  "Wolf Lake," and "Human Target," the article says.
