One of CNN’s anchormen is leaving the network after six years, TVNewser.com reports. Meanwhile, another fixture at the cable net is poised to take on a new assignment, according to the New York Post.

Tony Harris, who anchors the 11 a.m.-1 p.m. stretch on "CNN Newsroom," is leaving CNN. He has yet to announce his next gig.
In addition, the Post is reporting that John Roberts, co-anchor of CNN's "American Morning" is relocating from New York to Atlanta to be a national correspondent. The latter news has yet to be confirmed by CNN.

Roberts is engaged to Atlanta-based CNN anchor Kyra Phillips, and the couple are is expecting twins.

Whoever wrote the CNN story needs to go back to school to learn proper English usage. "the couple ARE expecting twins." ARE should be IS. "Couple" is a collective noun and uses the singular version of the verb. The couple is expecting twins.
