Comic Dane Cook Wins $12 Million in Restitution After Family Members Embezzled From Him TV Guide
The brother and sister-in-law of comedian Dane Cook have been ordered to repay him $12 million, reports TV Guide.
Cook’s half-brother, Darryl McCauley, and his wife, Erika McCauley, were accused of embezzling money from Cook when Darryl acted as Cook’s business manager. The pair pleaded guilty to stealing from Cook, and will serve time for their crimes.
Darryl received a sentence of five to six years in prison and Erika was sentenced to two-and-a-half to three years in prison.
The order for restitution was made by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
