The Writers Guild of America has announced its nominations for the annual Writers Guild Awards for television and radio programming, TVNewser reports. With dramas such as "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" and comedies "30 Rock" and "Modern Family" among the notables, the nominations look largely like a roundup of the usual suspects.

In the drama series category the WGA nominees are "Breaking Bad," "Mad Men," "Boardwalk Empire," "Dexter" and "Friday Night Lights." The nominees for comedy series are "30 Rock," "Glee," "Modern Family," "Nurse Jackie" and "The Office."

The news and documentary categories are dominated by PBS programming, with all six nominations in the Documentary-Current Events category going to the PBS show “Frontline.”
