First 'Jersey Shore' Cast Member Scores a Spinoff--And It's Not Snooki or The Situation NY Daily News

The first spinoff of "Jersey Shore" has been announced--and the star isn't Snooki or The Situation, reports the New York Daily News.

DJ Pauly D has scored the first spinoff of MTV's hit show, the story notes. He beat out Snooki and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who have also been negotiating for spinoff programs, the story notes.

MTV has already shot a pilot in Pauly D's home state of Rhode Island, although a debut date hasn't yet been set. The next season of "Jersey Shore" begins Jan. 6.
