Former Baywatch Star Hospitalized with MRSA -- the Antibiotics-Resistant Staph Infection TMZ
The former "Baywatch" star Donna D'Errico has been hospitalized with a MRSA (methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus), a very serious staph infection that's highly resistant to antibiotics, reports TMZ.com.
D'Errico played Donna Marco on the series from 1996 to 1998.
D'Errico, who is also a former Playboy playmate, contracted the MRSA from a relative who was in an ICU unit, the story says. Now D'Errico is also hospitalized, where she's expected to stay for a few more days, the article notes. Her Facebook page has the status update, "Prayer request - this time for me - a serious medical issue has arisen. Thank you for any and all prayers."
