Host Is Named for Next White House Correspondents Dinner TheWrap

A popular television personality has agreed to host and emcee the annual White House Correspondents Association dinner in 2011, reports TheWrap.com.

Seth Meyers, a writer for “Saturday Night Live” and anchor of the show’s “Weekend Update” segment, will do the honors. Meyers follows in the footsteps of notable hosts including Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart and Bob Hope.

The dinner will be held April 30, 2011, in Washington.
