Jane Fonda Tell Why She Wants to Star in a Cable Series AP

Jane Fonda, one of America's most acclaimed actresses--she's won two Oscars and an Emmy (the latter for the miniseries "The Dollhouse" on ABC back in 1984)--wants to star in a TV series on cable, reports the Associated Press.

Fonda, 72,  is playing her cards close to her chest, not revealing exactly what she wants to do, other than she wants to do it on cable.

She told the AP, "I have a sort of a vision of what it could be and that's all that I'll say. I think the best, edgiest writing is now on cable television. It's pretty exciting."

Jane won an Emmy for The Dollmaker not The Dollhouse. She was in a movie The Doll's House in 1973.
