Late-Night Talk Show Host Re-Ups for Two Years Deadline.com
One of the fixtures in the late-night talk show wars served notice that he’s not going away any time soon, signing a two-year extension with his network, Deadline.com reports.
Jimmy Kimmel signed the deal with ABC to stay on as host and exec producer of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the story says.
The show will remain in the 12:05 a.m. time slot for now, with the new contract taking it into its 10th season. “Kimmel” has been consistently growing its audience year by year and has been edging out rival shows hosted by Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson in the ratings.
