Pee-Wee Herman Returns to Cable TheWrap

When Pee-Wee Herman first made a big splash almost 30 years ago, it was thanks to an HBO special based on his club act. Now Herman's latest big hit, the Broadway production of "The Pee-Wee Herman Show," will be broadcast on HBO, reports TheWrap.com.

The Broadway show starring Paul Reubens ends its run on Jan. 2, 2011. The HBO telecast is scheduled for later in the year. Marty Callner, who also directed Herman's 1981 HBO special, will reunite with the comic for the new TV production.
