The show will apparently go on for “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who wants to drop out of a ball on New Year’s Eve, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Snooki wanted the bit featured at New York’s Times Square celebration, but officials rejected the proposal, saying the request came too late and the idea was impractical. Now the event is back on, but it has been moved to Seaside Heights, N.J.

Seaside Heights borough clerk Diane Stabley confirmed that MTV had its permit approved so that Snooki could perform the stunt there. It was being taped for the Friday broadcast.
