Syfy Cancels One of Its Signature Series Deadline.com

Syfy has canceled one of its signature series that has been on the channel--in some form--since 2002, Deadline.com reports.

The umbrella franchise is "Stargate," the current iteration being "Stargate Universe."

According to the article, "The upcoming 10 episodes of "Stargate Universe's" second season, which will air in the Spring, will be the series' last. The news follows the recent cancellation of another franchise Syfy series, the 'Battlestar Galactica' prequel 'Caprica.' "
