Fox Greenlights Two More Pilots, Continues to Lean Toward Single-Camera Sitcoms

Fox is sticking with its commitment to single-camera comedies, picking up two more pilots, Deadline.com reports.

“Council of Dads,” from Peter Tolan, is based on a book by Bruce Feiler about a terminally ill father who enlists the help of male friends who commit to raise his daughters after he’s gone.

"Family Album," from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, has a "24" angle, in which a strong father plots to get more quality time with his family via family vacations. One day from each vacation would encompass the entire season of the show.

The pickups bring Fox’s total number of comedy pilot pickups to six, the story reports, with four of those single-camera and one a hybrid of single-camera and multicamera.
