A planned daytime talk show produced by a successful reality show creator has been canceled by the Oprah Winfrey Network, reports B&C.

The untitled one-hour project from Mark Burnett was slated to debut in March, but the network has decided to shut down development so that it can focus on its prime-time schedule, the story says. Burnett remains an executive producer of OWN’s prime-time reality show "Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star."

However, on March 28, 2011, OWN will add "Home Takeover with Simon & Tomas" to its lineup, OWN has announced.

The show is based on a Swedish program called "Home Delivery."

Says the announcement, "Comprising six one-hour episodes, the high-energy design show features Scandinavia’s most celebrated pair of interior designers, Simon Davies and Tomas Cederlund. It is set to premiere March 28, 2011, on OWN. ‘Simon and Tomas will take America by storm with their unique sense of style,’ said Lisa Erspamer, chief creative officer, OWN. ‘The duo are not only skilled interior decorators, but their over-the-top personalities also make them fun to watch as they perform their design magic and literally move into the homes they are helping.’ "

The announcement adds, "’Home Takeover with Simon & Tomas’ is produced for OWN by Angel City Factory. The executive producers are Chris Cowan, Ray Giuliani and Jean-Michel Michenaud."
