The Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists said Friday night that their members overwhelmingly voted to approve a new three-year contract with modest pay raises, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.
The contract, which includes higher contributions to health and pension plans, was approved by a 94% to 6% margin, with about a quarter of the more than 137,000 members casting their votes, the story says. The new agreement takes effect July 1, it adds.
