Vote on Comcast-NBCU Deal Stalled as FCC Commissioners Hit CES Multichannel News

With all five Federal Communications Commissioners heading to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, the Comcast/NBC Universal merger deal isn't likely to be voted upon until at least next week, Multichannel News reports.

Chairman Julius Genachowski is scheduled to give a keynote interview Jan. 7 and the other four commissioners will speak at a panel session the same day, the story notes.

Even if one or more commissioners could vote before next week, all five have to throw in their votes before the outcome is official, which the article says is extremely unlikely to happen before next week.
